As promised our Az Syringo & Chiari Support Group is offering speakers on nutrition and diet from both the traditional and the alternative perspectives.
Stacy Bailey MS, RD, CDE, from St. Joseph's Hospital, Out Patient Dept. will be speaking to us regarding the traditional approach in nutrition and diet as they relate to our conditions.
Stacy received her BS from George Fox University and her Masters in Nutrition from ASU in 2001. She also is a Registered Dietitian and a Certified Diabetes Educator. Working for St Joes for the past 7 years, she helps patients, on an out patient basis, with diabetes and obesity issues.
She has been briefed about our conditions and the types medications we most commonly use to cope. Therefore, we hope she will be able to tailor her discussion to us.
