Hi Everyone Again:
It's that time again....yes, same time, same place.....Thur. November 18 is Meeting Day. The speaker we had planned, Ashley Bridwell, topic: Laugh Therapy, was unable to make the meeting due to previous engagement. We hope to have her speak in January 2011. Won't that be a fun way to start the New Year!
Therefore we will have open forum, which is great, as we have some items to finalize before next year as well as some new items that we would like to present for opinion. As you may or may not be aware, we have several members who work full time and would like a meeting time during non-work day hours. So we have been thinking of a way to accomodate both the working and the day timers and come up with the possiblity of Saturday meeting. This is just a thought and want further imput.
For those of you at the last meeting already know this - we are bringing to each meeting the following for sale:
Holiday Cards , created by our very own kids affected by Chiari and/or Syringo - $6.00/1 grp or $10.00/2 grp - Benefits:Az Chiari/Syringo Support Group (while supplies last)
Conquer Chiari/Conqure Syringo Wrist Bands - $3.00/1 or $5.00/2 - Benefits:Az Chiari/Syringo Support Group
Conquer Chiari/Conquer Ribbon Car Magnets (being sold by Preston Wells (Beth's son, poster child for ASAP) - $3.00/1 or $5.00/2 Benefits: ASAP
Finally - just FYI: Regarding Sara Eaton's request re: Volunteer Challenge. Sara was very touched and appreciated that we included her request in our recap and more of the same to those of you who responded. Here's to Kathy who always stays in touch.
